We are a diverse group of volunteers who want to share our love of history.
Mission Statement
The primary mission of the Union Patriotic League is to educate the public regarding the lives and work of American citizens during the mid-1800’s. We achieve that goal by sponsoring and participating in living history demonstrations. A secondary goal is to contribute to the public’s awareness of the importance of historic preservation and to support that cause, as well. How we carry out our mission:
Through charitable donations -
We give both money and time to historic sites and preservation groups.
Some of our past donations, both monetary and volunteer hours, have been to the Civil War Preservation Trust, Remembrance Day Illuminaries, Old Bedford Village, Pennypacker Mills and the Bethel Township Preservation Society.

Going to living history events and reenactments gives us an opportunity to share our love of history through demonstrations, hands-on activities and camp life.
We enjoy sitting down as a group for meals.

Some of our demonstrations include:
Historic fashions, quilting, cooking, historic toys and games, gymnastics,
Temperance, hair dressing and dancing.

We remember and honor those who have gone before us
each year at Remembrance Day in Gettysburg by holding
a commemorative ceremony at the Evergreen Cemetery.
